Engineering activities in Action
14th March 2012
10am to 12:30pm
At LEBC offices, Meridian Business Park

The education lead from the IED (Institute of Engineering Designers) is coming to LEBC to train us on a few of their activities. Would you like to join us? If you would like to get hands on experience of activities that hinge on the principals of Engineering, Product Design and Timekeeping then join us for the morning to try out the activities before we start to deliver them in schools.

This is an opportunity to try out the activities which you can then adapt and use as a STEM Ambassador visiting a school, or as a teacher of Design and Technology or Engineering to enrich your courses.

Alongside the opportunity to see the activities in action there will be a brief overview of the IED and a chatty discussion of Design Engineering as a career.

Don’t worry if you can’t make this date, we will be holding a similar session in late April which will also include the opportunity to get ‘hands on’ with activities from the Royal Academy of Engineering in order to try them out with local teachers.

If you would like to come along on the 14th March please contact Rachael Clarke. Email: [email protected] or call (0116) 240 7000.
