Employability Fair

New College, Leicester
Mon 28th January 2013, 12:00pm til 3:30pm

The objective of this event is to provide students with an opportunity to network with a range of employers, Further and Higher Education and training providers.

We are also looking for undergraduate degree students who would like to share their experiences of University life.

The fair will take the form of a market place where representatives will host stands promoting career opportunities in their industry. Visitors are encouraged to bring banners and other promotional material including video clips and electronic presentations.

There will be a twist to this event as students ‘speed date’ with the business representatives to find out more information. Students will be in Year 8 (age 12 to 13).

We aim to attract a wide range of representatives to cater for the interests of all students who will leave the event feeling more informed, motivated and inspired about working life or further education and training. We are looking for positive and enthusiastic role models to volunteer their time to help young people explore their career goals and aspirations.

Volunteers will benefit from an in depth, high quality interaction with our future workforce. Students and staff alike will certainly benefit from the real life experiences and relevant advice of supportive business volunteers.
