STEM Career Interrogation!

Students at Newbridge High School will give you a warm welcome before interviewing you about your STEM Career. They will have spent a previous lesson thinking of questions to ask you, and no preparation before the event is required – this is ideal for New and Experienced Ambassadors alike in any STEM field of work.


Age of students: Year 9 students – Age 13

The timings of the event are:
Arrival 11:50am for Tea and Coffee
Class 1 – 12:05pm to 1pm.
Lunch 1pm to 1:50pm – a school lunch on the house!
Class 2 – 1:50pm to 2:45pm
Debriefing and Depart – 2:45pm to 3pm.

Students will be split into teams 15 students, who will ask you questions like:

  • What are your day to day jobs?

  • What inspired you to take this career path?

  • What do you like about your job?

  • What do you find challenging?

  • What are the most important skills or qualities required for your job?
    You will be interviewed for around 20 minutes and then move around the classroom to the next team.

 

The school have requested that you bring in some photos and/or props to help explain to the students the environment that you work within. We can help you prepare some if you don’t have anything easily available.
