The Big Bang - East Midlands Event

East Midlands Conference Centre at the University of Nottingham
Thu 28th June 2012, 8:30am til 5:00pm

On Thursday 28th June students from across the East Midlands will come to Nottingham in the greatest festival of regional science talent yet experienced in the region – and you can be there too! Come and marvel at magical mathematics, join in the fight for cleaner energy, and experience storytelling about the very best science through the ages!

Most importantly of all, however, is that young people who submit their Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) projects to the prestigious National Science & Engineering Competition will have the opportunity to show off their designs to hundreds of young people, parents and teachers attending the Fairs.

Regional winners will go through to the national heat to be in the running to become UK Young Scientist or Engineer of the Year and win prizes of up to £2,000.

Prizes will also be awarded to the best STEM clubs that showcase their work at the Fairs, so sign up to be in with a chance!

We are still looking for more schools to host stands showcasing their fantastic students work.
