h3. Do you have expertise in the manufaturing of Chocolate, Packaging of food products, environmental impact of packaging or trends in chocolate?

We are looking for STEM Ambassadors who are able to give an active presentation or a workshop about ONE of these topics.

Students: Year 10 (14/15 year olds) in groups of 20/25 students.

What’s it all about?
We are looking for STEM Ambassadors who are able to give an active presentation or a workshop about ONE of the following topics:

  • The science involved in the manufacturing of chocolate.
  • The packaging of food products I.e. protection of the product temperature control.
  • The environmental impact of product packaging.
  • The trends in chocolate i.e. statistics/marketing involved in chocolate consumption.

You will be fully supported by a teacher on the day and beforehand in preparing your workshop.

During the course of the day the students will be completing a Bronze CREST Award. The CREST Award scheme is a national programme that awards students for their creativity in Science and Technology and through the various workshops on the day students will be challenged and tasked with coming up with solutions to various chocolate based science, design and technology problems.
