Training Managing behaviour in the classroom January 2011

A half day course examining how experiences effect the behaviours that can cause disruption or limit learning. This course focuses on the effect of experiences on behaviour, different kinds of communication, a range of strategies for managing behaviour in the short and long term and school systems and sanctions.

By the end of the day you will have

  • some knowledge of the triggers that can cause disruptive behaviour
  • gained an understanding of how to influence behaviour
  • examined the effect of language on behaviour
  • discussed a variety of strategies for managing behaviour
  • shared good practice with others

 

This course is suitable for teachers and support staff who deal with challenging behaviour in the classroom.
