Planet Leicester January 2012

Parklands Primary School, South Wigston
Tue 17th January 2012, 8:30am til 12:30pm

Do you have a story to tell? Aimed at Yr 5 and 6 pupils, we are looking for volunteers representing a variety of cultures, countries, religions and ways of life to visit the school to talk to the children about your homeland, the reason why you or your relatives came to live in Leicestershire and what you do now. The aim of the project is to give children the chance to learn first hand about life in other countries. The children will be split into 5 groups and you will spend 20 minutes with each group over the course of the morning/afternoon. You will need to have a good understanding of the English language and be a good communicator to volunteer for this event.
