STEM - CREST in a day - Wonderful Water

Long Field School
Mon 6th June 2011, 8:30am til 3:00pm

CREST (Creativity in Science and Technology) is Britain’s largest national award scheme for project work in the STEM subjects, giving young people the opportunity to explore real world projects in an exciting way. A CREST in a day event allows students to achieve a Bronze CREST Award in a day through a series of activities all relating to one theme, giving students the opportunity to be creative in Science or Technology.
Wonderful Water is a day of interactive activities designed around the theme of water where students will work in teams testing predictions, recording results and making presentations, developing students’ PLTS and Enterprise skills. We are looking for volunteers to facilitate activities throughout the course of the day. Full training will be provided by LEBC beforehand so that you are familiar with the activity allocated to you.

If you are interested in volunteering for this event or would like to find out further information then please contact Fay Wilson on 0116 240 7000 or email
