A full day course for mentors to define the role of the mentor and explore the ways people learn so that mentoring is effective.

By the end of the day mentors will have *identified a list of specific tasks to work on with their mentoring partners

  • a clear idea of the mentor’s responsibilities
  • gain an understanding of how people learn in different ways
  • an understanding of their own strengths
  • tried out some communication strategies
  • created a mentoring contract


This course is suitable for a senior leadership team member, pastoral staff and classroom teachers who want to mentor and support underachieving students, either through the pastoral system or using ‘aggressive mentoring’ techniques.

£105 per delegate. Refreshments and light lunch are included.

This course can be delivered at a schools if there is sufficient demeand from the schools and/or neighbouring schools.
