Fri 16th November 2012, 10:30am til 2:30pm

We are looking to recruit inspirational representatives from the world of work to talk to Year 10 students about careers in the sector that you work in.

As a guest speaker you will be asked to deliver careers talks to a groups of students which would cover the following points:

  • The qualifications you have
  • School/college subjects you enjoyed which influenced your career choices
  • Salaries employees earn in your sector/profession (a rough idea is fine)
  • Prospects for promotion, whether entry is degree qualification or alternatively the vocational route at 16/17/18 years
  • What you adn colleagues look for when recruiting new employees

There will be an opportunity for students to ask you questions after your talk. The objective is for students to gain a clear idea about possible route ways open to them which can help to inform post 16 choices and will hopefully be inspiring.
