Helping you to Recruit Apprentices
"The STEM Ambassador was brilliant. Her pitch was just right for year nines and they learnt a lot of science! Thanks LEBC for organising it and please pass on my thanks to The STEM Ambassador for letting us benefit so much."
Judi Warren, Deputy Head at Newbridge High School

“LEBC referred some really good candidates to us and we have appointed 2 apprentices who will join our business in September. From the moment we contacted them, they made every effort to understand our needs, work with us through the sifting process and advise on the final offers. Great customer service!” – Mike Kapur, Sempervox

“The Hub Le Bas Leicester branch are very grateful to Leicestershire Education Business Company in helping us with identifying a suitable candidate for the vacancy of a sale office apprentice. I would recommend LEBC to any company looking to fulfil any apprentice requirements.” – Hub Le Bas

“I will say that Megan was a very good fit for the position we had available and fingers crossed is exactly what we were looking for. She also came to the interview well prepared which was refreshing. It is surprisingly difficult for us as a business to connect with young people in the local area and find the talent we would like to employ and develop, so we appreciate your assistant.” – Kevin, PSL Freight.

"Our main objectives for participating in this event was supporting the local community, encouraging young people to pursue a career in law and raising the profile of the firm in the local area. The information beforehand was very helpful, provided within plenty of time and responses to questions were quick and helpful. Great event - well organised."

This has been without doubt one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things I’ve been involved with. Going into schools and preparing students from the outside world. Mock interviews, talks, careers discussions and role plays. I’ve met some amazing young people and a super group of like-minded business people. There’s a scheme like this in every county and I encourage you to seek it out and give a little back.

"The children (and staff!) really enjoyed their day at Highcross. The workshops were interactive and gained the attention of the children. The questions in work booklets really helped the children to get in to the process of talking to staff at Highcross and encouraged them to think some great questions. The day helped the children to realise the variety of job opportunities available in the shopping centre.”
(St. Botolph's C of E Primary School)

Also I have been looking through the qualifications needed in order to succeed in the job.  I just want to say thank you so much it was a huge help to find my feet again." - Wigston Academies Trust Student.

“It has been an honour to work with Jackie, she is extremely diligent and often in school researching into the back ground of the individuals she will interview.  She has become familiar with how to access student information to help support them best. I have only ever heard of great comments from the year 11 who have been advised by her.  Time and time again they have spoken of how valuable their time with her was. Such help has a long term benefit to young lives.”- Moat Community College

"Having experienced a challenging year 11 at school, students should be using the summer to let off some steam and have fun in order to be fully prepared and refreshed for the year ahead. However, this doesn't mean their development needs to stall. There are many valuable lessons that students learn outside the classroom that impact, not only their performance when they return to school, but their life beyond that too. I'd urge teens to use their freedom to harness the opportunity the summer brings through experiences like NCS, a programme we recommend at Groby Community College that is open to all 15-17 year olds across Leicestershire. The programme which offers four weeks of fun and discovery in the Summer holiday gives teens the chance to make new friends, grow in confidence and learn valuable work and life skills, helping them to re-focus their minds ahead of the new term."
Rob Coles, head teacher at Groby Community College
“I would like to commend NCS on its work to help young people to obtain the employability skills that are so important to their futures as employees - skills that employers are saying are needed. I would urge schools and colleges to work with NCS and together we can help prepare and develop young people for the future.”

As his mum, I never thought he would have the confidence to take part in something like this but he has and I am amazed at how his confidence has grown. Meeting new people and doing exciting things, I hope that he can take these new skills when he starts out on his career path and excel at what he does. I would like to thank the NCS staff who are amazing – just like the young people who took part and completed their 4 week programme J.

Careers Support
“When my mum arranged an interview with the Careers Adviser, I wasn’t sure how that would help much. I didn’t know what I wanted to do anyway. I wasn’t motivated to go. Once I was there, the Careers Adviser I saw was very friendly and assured me that there's always options and my future starts now. I feel more motivated and I have an idea of what I want to work towards. Thank you so much.”
“This is such a great service, I wish this was available to me when I was in school! I would have known exactly want steps to take towards achieving my goals quickly. I arranged an interview for my son, he came back so motivated and focused. Thank you.”

Thinking of a Career Change?
“I did the Personality Profile Analysis because I wanted to know more about myself and how I worked with others. The process was easy, and got the results fairly quick too. It was quite interesting to see my attitude to work, what roles suited me best and what type of working environment I preferred. It showed that I am pretty much the same during work and out of work, just a little bit more focussed at work. It also highlighted my skills and qualities, it was really detailed considering I only answered a few questions.”
“It was very motivational because it highlighted my key skills and attributes and confirmed I was in the right area of employment! It also showed how I worked under pressure, it was nice to see it all down on paper. I used this to improve my CV, really useful career management tool. Exceptional resource, would highly recommend to others!”
“I found the PPA very useful and quite surprising as it brought out qualities that I never thought of. The process was quick and easy, questions were clear. Some of the answers did make me question myself e.g. not sociable but overall, I can agree with most of the results and would recommend it to others, who are looking for jobs and needed a helping hand in finding strengths.”
“The personality profile was very accurate, it identified what job roles suit me and how I perform in my working environment as well as socially. If you're a bit lost in your career path or feel like you would like to know yourself a little better I would recommend it, definitely! I have already told a few of my friends and family about it. It was great! Thank you so much!”
